The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) Malawi and Institute of Internal Auditors Malawi (IIAM) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at improving their profession through collaboration.
The MoU which was signed at ACCA offices in Blantyre on Tuesday will see the two institutions hosting workshops, conferences and other events jointly as part of Continued Professional Development for their members.
According the Head of ACCA Malawi, Alinane Khonje, the partnership will promote co-operation and career development for members.
“We need to tap into networks that share the same value to scale up and leverage from each other’s strengths,” Khonje said.
IIAM president, Ackson Banda, said partnership is critical for the professional development of members.
“The MoU is vital to the growth of both institutions and provides better professional development and networking opportunities for members,” he said
He said the agreement will enable ACCA Malawi and IIAM to effectively work together for the advancement of the accounting and Internal auditing profession in Malawi.
