JOB WELL DONE— Murigi (R) receives a gift from one of employees

After serving for three years, CIC-Africa Cooperatives Insurance Limited Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Robert Murigi, last week bid farewell to the company.

Murigi said he was glad to have contributed to the growth of the company.

“I am extremely delighted to have come this far,” Murigi said.

The Kenyan insurer advised practitioners to be hard-working, innovative and ensure superior customer service to be successful in their work.

CIC Board Chairperson, Neil Nyirongo, thanked Murigi for his commitment.

Nyirongo said he expected the company to continue on a positive trajectory.

“We are currently rated number seven out of 13 but our target is to be within the top three in the insurance industry in Malawi.”

Nyirongo also announced the appointment of Chrispinus Muwang’a as new CEO.

The company joined the market in January 2016 with two subsidiaries offering general insurance and life assurance services.
