Ecobank Malawi on Tuesday launched a campaign dubbed Nkhawa Njee aimed at encouraging customers to intensify use of the bank’s digital platforms and services.
Briefing journalists during the launch, Ecobank Marketing, Brands and Communications Manager, Takondwa Chirwa, said to participate in the competition, customers are expected to use existing bank account numbers, download and register for Ecobank Mobile App and transact with a minimum of K5, 000.00.
She said potential customers could open accounts, download and register on Ecobank Mobile App to participate in the promotion which runs from between June 1 to 31 July 2020.
“Ecobank will give a utility bill relief to 20 lucky customers who will transact on Ecobank Mobile App during the promotion period. The utility bill cover is worth K50, 000.00. Customers are free to use the money for electricity, water or television bills,” Chirwa said.
She said using Ecobank Mobile App, customers will have a privilege to enjoy smart, fast, secure and safe banking experience anytime, anywhere.
“Digital banking is no longer a luxury but a necessity. Customers need to get on a digital platform and continue with life. Ecobank, therefore, encourages customers to embrace use of digital products,” Chirwa said
Meanwhile, Chirwa the Mobile App has been upgraded with unique features for customers to send Virtual Cards, send money by text or email, pay bills and open an Xpress Account.
