EY supports Icam indaba
Ernst and Young (EY) on Monday presented a K5 million cheque to the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Malawi (Icam) towards the organisation’s annual conference which starts in Mangochi Thursday.
EY advisory senior Caroline Nongwa said her organisations appreciates the value of such a conference both to the development of accountancy in Malawi as well as to national development.
She said EY believes that the conference will help find solutions to some of the challenges the country is facing.
In his remarks, Icam director of learning and professional development, Tifapi Jere, thanked EY for the gesture.
Jere said hosting such a big gathering of over 550 delegates requires enormous financial resources, describing the contribution from EY as timely.
