FDH Bank gives Icam K3 million

FDH Bank on Tuesday presented a K3 million cheque to the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Malawi (Icam) to be used for hosting of the institute’s annual Lake Conference in Mangochi.

The conference would be held under the theme; Positioning for Africa’s Economic Renaissance: Malawi in the Equation.

FDH Bank acting Managing Director, William Mpinganira, said the indaba is crucial.

“Malawi needs concerted efforts to achieve the much-needed economic empowerment,” Mpinganjira said.

He said the bank has been supporting Icam as part of its effort in championing economic growth.

In his remarks, Icam Chief Executive Officer, Francis Gondwe, thanked the bank for the support.

Up to 1,000 delegates have confirmed attendance of the conference where guest speaker would be Kenyan motivational speaker, Patrick Lumumba.
