FDH donates K1m for artificial limbs

FDH Bank on Friday donated K1 million to the 500 Miles Prosthetic and Orthotic department at Mzuzu Central Hospital which keeps patients that need artificial limbs and assistive devices to enable them walk.

FDH branch manager for the northern region, Stephen Chawala, said the donation follows another one it made to the department last year.

He said the bank is touched by the plight of the patients at the department.

“The department’s work resonates very well with our purpose at FDH Bank of making a difference to communities and those needing assistance across the country,” said Chawala.

Manager for the centre, Samuel Walker, thanked

FDH Bank for the donation, saying the centre needs assistance to enable it get artificial limbs and assistive devices for patients at the hospital.
