Credit and deposit taking microfinance institution, Finca Malawi, has said it is impressed with the impact of its newly launched promotion targeting to improve saving culture among Malawians.
In July, Finca launched its Nkhawa Nje promotion targeting both existing and potential customers.
Speaking on t h e sidelines of the first draw of the promotion, Finca Malawi Marketing Manager, Violet Mangani, said already, the initiative is bearing fruits.
She said while positive strides were recorded to inculcate saving culture among some elite Malawians, people in rural areas were left out, hence the need to widen the scope.
But she said through the various products and services the firm has lined up, the gap has been widening.
“We are very excited with the turnout. This is one way to reward our customers and the response has been overwhelming,” she said.
Mangani said through the promotion, Finca is also targeting to increase its customer base.
“We have received positive response in all our deposit taking branches. That confirms that customers are indeed putting money aside and embracing saving culture,” Mangani said.
The promotion will run until October.
