Malawi Stock Exchange (MSE)-listed Illovo Sugar Malawi has said the first half of 2018 has been fruitful for the company.
Illovo Head of Domestic Sales, Walter Nyamilandu, made the observation in Blantyre on Monday when the firm launched the ‘Zikutheka ndi Illovo’ promotion.
Nyamilandu said Illovo expects the last six months of the calendar year to be more fruitful.
“The reason behind the promotion is to share our success with our consumers and traders” Nyamilandu said.
He added that the promotion comes as result of the company being consumer-centred and directing its focus on providing the best for their consumers.
This is the first time for Illovo to hold a consumer promotion. The promotion, which runs from July 9 to October 6, will reward 688 winners across the country.
To stand a chance of winning weekly and monthly prizes, customers must purchase a bale of 1kg packets of sugar and drop a receipt at designated shops across the country.
