Mponela wears new Airtel face

Airtel Malawi on Wednesday unveiled a new Express Shop in Mponela to provide a one-stop shop of its products and services to people in Dowa district.

This shop—according to Airtel’s Customer Experience Director, Sibusiso Nyasulu—is posed to compliment the growth of Mponela as Dowa’s business hub.

“Mponela is a booming business area and a hub of attraction and convenience to Dowa. Airtel is now physically available in Dowa, our presence with this one-stop-shop provides the much needed platform for customers to transact and experience incredible services,” said Nyasulu.

She, then, hinted that Airtel was geared to opening more convenient outlets as a customer centric brand.

The Dowa District Council Chairperson, Councillor Precious Kambuzi applauded Airtel for establishing the shop highlighting that convenience was key to modern business trends.

“We believe Airtel’s internet services and mobile money transactions will be instrumental in developing Mponela and Dowa as a district. To us, this new shop is development and it helps hit key growth performance indicators for Mponela,” he observed.

Among other key services, the new Airtel Express Shop in Mponela will offer free WifI for all customers visiting the shop, as well as on the spot product and service resolution from dedicated customer experience executives.
