
Multichoice CEO calls for flexibility
Africa’s video entertainment leader, Multichoice Africa Limited, says its vision for the future is flexibility in a market where the consumer is moving really fast in terms of new technologies.
Tim Jacobs, Chief Executive Officer for Multichoice Africa said the internet is particularly big competition to its consumer market.
He made the remarks at a press briefing at Outrigger Beach Resort in Mauritius where Multichoice Africais holding the five day long Multichoice Showcase Extravaganza that will bring together players from different sectors of the video entertainment market.
“Competition is coming really fast and causing our business model to also change really fast,” he said
He added that the challenge is to modify content quick enough into the content that the consumer prefers.
Asked if Malawi is in the band wagon of countries affecting by fast moving technological changes, Marketing Managing for Multichoice Malawi, Chimwemwe Nyirenda said Malawi is also fast revolving in terms of technology as the technologies within Africa are now the same.
“Any technology that is coming in, Multichoice Malawi will not be left behind. We will adapt like the rest of Africa,” he added
