
Multichoice in tune with technology
MULTICHOICE Africa Limited says it is always in tune with latest technology and shall remain flexibile in a market where the consumer is moving fast with new technologies.
Tim Jacobs, chief executive officer for Multichoice Africa, said the internet is particularly big competition to its consumer market.
He made the remarks yesterday at a press briefing in Bel Ombre, Mauritius where Multichoice Africa is holding a five-day long Multichoice Showcase Extravaganza for various players in video entertainment market.
“Competition is coming really fast and causing our business model to also change really fast,” he said He added that the challenge is to modify content quick enough into what the consumer prefers.
Asked if Malawi is in the band wagon of countries affecting by fast moving technological changes, Marketing Managing for Multichoice Malawi, Chimwemwe Nyirenda said Malawi is also fast revolving in terms of technology as the trends within Africa are the same.
“Any technology that is coming in, Multichoice Malawi will not be left behind. We will adapt alongside the rest of Africa,” he added.
