National Ban of Malawi (NBM) has presented two cheques worth K500,000 each to Economics Association of Malawi (ECAMA) and the Institute of People Management in Malawi the (IPMM) respectively in support of their annual lakeshore conferences scheduled for Mangochi.

Speaking when he handed over the cheques, NBM head of human resources, Charles Dulira, said the bank felt duty bound to partner with the organisations in their conferences where professionals deliberate issues of national importance.

“National Bank believes that professional groupings do not only provide their members with professional values but also instill in them a sense of discipline through ethical conduct of each profession,” said Dulira.

On his part, IPMM executive director, Jalllison Chaguluka, thanked the bank for the money, saying it will assist them during the conference.

“This year’s conference will be looking much on innovation. We are saying people should change their mindset and start doing things differently to increase productivity,” said Chaguluka.
