NBS Bank and Airtel Malawi have agreed on a partnership that will see all Airtel Money agents being able to buy e-value for their businesses at any NBS branch across the country.

The deal is expected to make it easier and faster for the agents to make their transactions as they will no longer be required to travel to Airtel offices to present their deposit slip to receive their e-value.

Airtel Money Acting Country Director, Chris Sukasuka, said his company is committed to continue using technology to enhance customer experience.

“The two solutions we are launching today add another dimension to the Airtel Money and NBS Bank eco-system. Going forward, all Airtel Money merchants and agents with NBS bank accounts will no longer have to travel to buy e-value,” he said.

And NBS Head of Personal and Business Banking, Mercus chigoga, described the partnership as a milestone and fitting well with the company’s desire to offer superior customer service to customers.

“The agents will deposit money at any NBS Bank and pay a soft commission of K100 per transaction and get instant value,” he said.
