
Nico Life gives K1m to Livingstonia University
Nico Life Insurance Company Limited has donated K1 million to Livingstonia University to enable the institution undertake some maintenance work on its facilities.
Nico Life branch manager for the north, Eurita Chirwa, said when she presented the cheque to the school that the donation was in appreciation of the university’s role in the provision of education in the country as well as the business it gives to the company.
“We want to thank you for giving us business as well as the services you render through education to future leaders,” said Chirwa.
On his part, Livingstonia University vice chancellor, Yohane Nyasulu, said the money will enable the college to maintain classrooms and hostels.
He commended Nico Life for the gesture, saying the company showed its true partnership with the university.
“The money will help us clean this place,” said Nyasulu.
The ceremony was also attended by the Livingstonia Synod’s secretary general Levi Nyondo.
