
Press Corporation Limited clinic shifts to the trade fair
Press Corporation Limited (PCL) on Tuesday officially re-opened its clinic at the Trade Fair Grounds in Blantyre.
The clinic was previously housed within the Press Bakeries premises at Ginnery Corner in Blantyre, but has been moved to allow for comfort and spacious environment for patients.
PCL group chief executive officer, Mathews Chikaonda, said PCL runs the clinic as part of its corporate social responsibility programme.
He disclosed that in 2014 alone, PCL as a group spent over K240 million in CSR activities.
“Social responsibility is at the core of our business,” said Chikaonda.
Established in 1995, the PCL Clinic was initially meant for PCL members of staff only but in 2011 extended its service to the general public. It currently serves between 80 to 100 patients per day.
