Post was last updated: September 29, 2020

Sparc Systems, an ICT firm operating in a number of countries within the region, has outlined plans to penetrate other parts of the continent especially in East Africa.

The company’s Group Managing Director, Wisely Phiri, said the firm has since appointed Harry Kasandala as its Group Head of Sales and Marketing at the firm’s Rwanda office.

Kasandala will also be responsible for Sparc businesses operations in Burundi and Zambia.

“With the growth of the Sparc brand in a dynamic and highly innovative market, it requires not only changes in innovative solutions but also addition human capital. Thus we are always beefing up our team across the Sparc group. We should be employing more highly skilled people to fill the vacancies as they occur,” he said.

He rated Rwanda as strategic for business, where the company opened an IT hub in 2015.

He said the firm intends to penetrate the East Africa market with a wide range of IT service and products.

Phiri said there are many innovations lined up for introduction in markets across the continent.

“Customers should look out for more innovative products from Sparc as we come closer to them with world class solutions,” he said.

In a separate interview, Kasandala affirmed his commitment to ensure efficiency and effectiveness in service delivery.

“The opportunity to utilise my experience in international sales is what interests me most about this position. I am always interacting with the team in Rwanda on a daily basis through calls and virtual meetings. However, this will be the first time I will be physically working with the team,” he said.
