The Chartered Institute of Marketers (CIM) Malawi chapter officially handed over the award for Marketer of the Year to Standard Bank Head of Marketing, Thoko Unyolo, during a dinner held at Ryalls Hotel in Blantyre.
Presenting the award to Unyolo, CIM President, Michel Khomani, said Standard Bank showcased an outstanding and creative approach in its marketing strategy.
“The take home message is very simple; people, who work hard and put thought into their work, must be rewarded. And to Standard Bank, this is a demonstration of commitment to work and creativity,” said Khomani.
In her acceptance speech, Unyolo said the bank’s customers were instrumental in her success and that of the bank.
“We will continue to deliver superior service that meets the needs of our customers. We also look forward to receiving more support from our customers in the year ahead,” she said.
Overall, Standard Bank carted home four of the awards that were up for grabs during this year’s CIM Marketing Excellence Awards.
