16 year-old girl, Florence Khondiwa, who is one of the 50 TNM customers that won K2 million each in Ufulu@50 promotion, on Wednesday handed over medical equipment to Limbe Health Centre.

Theitems included 25 mattresses, 25 bed sheets, 18 cellular blankets, one electronic baby scale, among others.

TNM conducted the Ufulu@50 promotion last year to celebrate 50 years of the country’s independence and each winner was required to choose a K2 million worth social responsibility project of their choice.

Speaking during the presentation of the items, TNM Public Relations and Sponsorship Manager LimbaniNsapato said the donation demonstrates the company’s commitment in fulfilling its promises to customers in the country.

“This is a life-changing promotion as prizes are going to worthy causes that will go a long way at community level. The current prize presentation phase demonstrates TNM’s commitment towards corporate social responsibility and meeting its obligations under Ufulu@50 promotion,” Nsapato said.

Florence, who is a form three pupil at Soche Hill Secondary School, thanked TNM for the initiative saying she chose Limbe Health Centre after noting that patients using the facility face many challenges.

“On behalf of people from this community, let me commend TNM for the initiative which has not only benefited individuals but the communities,” she said.
