Kristwick along Masauko Chipembere Highway in Blantyre now boasts of a modern filling station following the unveiling of Total Malawi’s 60th filling station in the country.

Kristiwick Service Station was unveiled Wednesday in what Total Malawi’s Managing Director, Michel Malatino, described as a demonstration of the company’s commitment in providing its services through environmentally friendly service stations.

He added that customers will also be able to experience for the first time in Malawi the various services of South African fast food service brand, Mugg and Bean.

“The construction of the service station is part of a broader campaign designed to bolter Total ’s efforts to expand in fast growing Africa,” Malatino said

Guest of honour at the ceremony, board chair for Mera, Dingiswayo Jere, hailed the development, saying it will not only bring in convenience, but also more competition, which will foster a drive for service quality as well as offering value for money.

“With this investment, Total Malawi has demonstrated a positive spirit in contributing to the face-lifting of the city of Blantyre and Malawi as a country,” he said.

Dealer for Mugg and Bean, Kenneth Mpemba, said he was excited to partner with Total in providing a different kind of experience to Malawians.
