
Unicaf awards Young Innovators – The Times Group
Unicaf University Vice- Chancellor Robert Ridley has said the university is committed to promoting research and innovation, especially within the context of Malawi 2063.
He was speaking on Friday during the Young Innovators Competition prize presentation ceremony in Lilongwe.
“As a university, we want to engage the government and other national efforts to promote research and innovation, especially within the context of Malawi 2063, and especially within the fields of business and ICT, which are two of our strongest disciplines of study,” Ridley said.
Director of Secondary Education Florida Banda, whose department facilitated promotion of the competition in national secondary schools, lauded Unicaf University for the awards.
“We look forward to working with Unicaf to continue with competitions to further stimulate national innovation,” Banda said
Guest of Honour at the event Matthews Mtumbuka challenged youths to have self-esteem.
