Ctech Systems is set to present a suite of digital products at the Business Talk Expo in Lilongwe, aimed at giving Malawi’s businesses tools to increase efficiency, improve customer service, and grow revenue.
Technical Sales and Marketing Officer Chimwemwe Mwalwanda outlined four flagship solutions tailored to local needs: a Loan Management System, Call Centre System, Grievances Redress System, and School Management System.
The loan platform addresses a core pain point for financial institutions by improving processing times and repayment tracking, which can help reduce default rates. The call centre offering integrates communication channels to provide faster, smoother customer service—a key advantage in a market where nkhumbo (response) times can make or break client trust.
For accountability, the grievances redress framework provides structured complaint handling so organisations can track and resolve issues transparently. The school management tool digitises both academic records and administrative tasks, reducing paperwork and freeing up resources for learning.
These products are designed with Malawi’s infrastructure realities in mind. Low-bandwidth compatibility, USSD access, and mobile integration ensure even businesses in rural areas can benefit. That approach could level the playing field for small and medium enterprises working outside major urban centres.
Mwalwanda emphasised the potential impact: automating repetitive tasks, lowering administrative costs, and unlocking new revenue streams for institutions. By tackling inefficiencies at their root, the systems aim to help businesses redirect resources to growth and innovation rather than routine operations.
Alongside the Ctech exhibition, the event will host policymakers and business leaders, including Minister of Local Government and Rural Development Ben Phiri, Atupele Muluzi, and Khumbo Soko. The gathering is expected to bring together entrepreneurs, government officials, and digital innovators—an ideal platform for Malawian businesses to explore future-ready technology and forge new partnerships.
